Narrative
MUSCATINE CO., IA – A 64-year-old man died, and two other people were hospitalized Sunday after a two-vehicle crash in north- central Muscatine County.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of 12oth Street and Taylor Avenue, which is just southeast of Wilton.
Police say that an eastbound 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a southbound 2017 Chevy Equinox when the driver of the former vehicle ran a stop sign.
The force of the collision caused the Chevy to overturn.
Authorities identified the victim in the crash as Steven Braundt. It is unclear which vehicle Braundt was in at the time of the accident.
Medics transported two other adults, 45-year-old Flores Fredesvindo and 27-year-old Marco Dominqueztabora, to local hospitals with serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
