Narrative
IOWA CITY, IA – A 25-year-old Tennessee man died Wednesday in a crash involving a semi-truck along the interstate in central Johnson County.
The incident occurred around 5:12 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-80 near mile marker 245, which is near Prairie Du Chien Road Northeast on the north side of Iowa City.
Police say that an 18-wheeler overturned in a ditch after the driver left the interstate and hit a guardrail.
The unrestrained driver sustained fatal injuries. Authorities identified him as Jeremy Rogers.
