Narrative
GALENA, IA – A driver and three other people were injured Thursday when a vehicle struck a house in northwest Jo Daviess County.
The accident happened around 7:02 p.m. in a residential neighborhood near US-20 and Jupiter Drive. This is in the city of Galena.
Police say that the driver of the an eastbound Hyundai Palisade lost control of his vehicle, left the highway, and crashed into a house.
Medics airlifted the driver, identified as 45-year-old Gregory D. Howes, to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The three people who were in the house at the time of the crash — two adults and one juvenile — also went to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
