WATERLOO, IA –  Crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries along a busy roadway in central Black Hawk County on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the afternoon near the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Highway 218 in the city of Waterloo.

Police say that seven vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, were involved in the crash and that three people went to the hospital with minor injuries.
