Narrative
MUSCATINE, IA – One person sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Muscatine County.
The accident happened shortly before 7:15 a.m. just west of Melon Avenue on Burlington Road in west Muscatine. This is about 30 miles southwest of Davenport.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted. They say that a Volkswagen Passat and Chevrolet Caprice were involved.
Authorities pronounced the driver of the Caprice deceased at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released the public.
Medics airlifted the driver of the Passat, identified as 39-year-old Daniel Lincoln, to an Iowa City hospital with unspecified injuries.
